About

Rachel Newman is a San Diego based labor and employment attorney representing employees throughout the state of California. Rachel’s litigation practice focuses on representing current and former employees in wage and hour class actions for unpaid wages, missed meal and rest breaks, misclassification, wrongful termination, retaliation, and discrimination.

Rachel was born and raised in Orange County, California. In 2020, she graduated cum laude from the University of Oregon, earning her Bachelor of Arts in Political Science. In 2023, Rachel earned her Juris Doctor from California Western School of Law. While in law school, Rachel was a Teaching Fellow for Contracts I and II, and she was an Honors Instructor for Legal Research and Writing. Rachel also volunteered with the Community Law Project, an organization that offers free legal services to low-income communities in San Diego.
